About Profix

Family owned since 1996!

Profix is an auto repair shop in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is listed at 4546 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28213, which places it among the local businesses of Charlotte that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Charlotte, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across North Carolina vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (704) 597-7100. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, profixclt.com.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 181 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

I couldn't ask for a better sales experience, new or used. I didn't get talked over, rushed, or made to feel like they weren't willing to answer ALL my questions. It wasn't easy on a 98 degree day, but I had no complaints. Thanks again.

Went to the shop on July 3 of 2026 to have an alignment done on my 2012 Ford fusion we do not drive the car often but when I finally did get back in it, the wheel was still pulling into the left. I called Sam about two weeks later and let him know about the issue. He allowed me to bring the vehicle back up there so he could take a look at it. He proceeds to walk outside to tell me that it’s because of a tire Looking at my tires, they’re not completely bald and they still had a decent amount of tread on them. After feeling cheated for my money, I decided to call Mavis to have them check behind the work because again it was still pulling to the left and my mechanic said something was truly off. I have posted a photo below showing proof that Sam and his workers did not do the work that I paid for, but instead of helping me, he refused to take my car into the bay just To review the work. I have been going to this gentleman for years and I have never been treated this way but I promise you I will never take another vehicle back to him or refer him to anyone else after this experience so I have now been cheated out of $100 and I had to come pay Mavis another hundred dollars to correct hi

One of the best auto repair businesses in Charlotte! So much so, we drive an hour into town just for Sam and his team's services! Thank you for helping my husband and me with the alignment of our vehicle!

Don’t come to this place the owner ads tax to everything even if you pay for cash and he states that his prices are fair but honestly they are not. I went to get a diagnostic for my car and he said that if I brought back the paper with the receipt he could take off the diagnostic from the service that needed to be done. When I came back to get the service done he only wanted to take off half the diagnostic off and he was still charging tax for the service. I left and went across the street to capital auto repair not only did they charge me a better price but they also don’t charge tax for card and definitely doesnt charge tax for cash they are a 100/10 place so if you are reading this go to them and not Profix.

If you need an alignment, do yourself a favor and see Sam at Profix Charlotte. My wife and I had an incredible experience from start to finish. Sam is not only knowledgeable and friendly, but he is also incredibly wise. When we walked into Profix it feels less like a mechanic shop and more like picking up a conversation with family. Sam took the time to truly educate us, explaining the services and the machinery in a way that made sense. He didn’t just fix the current issue; he provided valuable preventative maintenance advice to keep us safe on the road. It is rare to find a business owner who cares this much about his craft and his customers. If you want the best alignment in Charlotte, go check Sam out!
